St. Mary’s School is one of the initiatives of the Indian Orthodox Church in the field of education. It is the church’s effort and contribution in building the great nation. Indian Orthodox Church is the oldest Christian Churches in India, founded in 52 A.D, by St. Thomas, one of the dearest disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Church is fundamentally a worshipping community. All worshipping people are maintaining the vertical relationship with the ultimate God Almighty. The biggest challenge faced by the educators of today is to prepare students for the challenges of a globalised world; education is the right of each and every child, irrespective of cast, creed and religion.

The true meaning of education is not merely a question of knowledge, but knowledge in action.When one receives education that is based on truth and eternal values, he will be able to achieve liberation. St.Marys School welcomes all the students to harness their capabilities and potential not only in academic skills but also in life values and vocational skills.  

Education is the finest way to serve the society. Education aims at   acquiring knowledge that leads to ultimate wisdom which is the highest form of knowledge. Education- ‘Vidya’ emancipates all kinds of darkness and leads to the magnificent world of light and truth. Education brings the pupil to the different world of colorful attractions and enjoyment. Vidya helps the person to be confident and fearless. It guides and trains the student the methods and techniques to acquire and enjoy the positive energy and how to be away from the negative energy. It’s a fact that there are negative and positive energy prevails in the world. It is one of the fundamental duties of the temple of learning to educate the children in exploring the positive aspects of life and to make their life colourful and attractive.

The St. Mary’s Church Society is planning to start more innovative initiatives in the field of education.  It will be in elementary education for the marginalized and downtrodden strata. We are also planning to begin more academies  like English learning, games, music, dance etc……for  the all round and balanced growth of the student’s  personality.
