The Primary wing and Senior Wing of St.Mary’s School, Sector 46-B celebrated its annual function at Tagore Theatre on 25th November  which marked a tribute to unity and integrity of different cultures along with various other themes depicting various social evils, environment problems etc. The hall was full of the remarkable and awesome crowd of the parents and guests of St.Mary’s. Song, music and dances were an amalgam of various themes based on moral , human and biological issues. The program consisted of a sparkling peagant of cultural items which captivated the hearts and minds of the invited audience. It was a step ahead to build the bridges of oneness by appreciating the cultural heritage of mankind.

 The program started with the LORDS PRAYER followed by lighting of the lamp.  The Chairman of the school Rev. Father Biju .P.Thomas paid a rich homage to the recently demised President of St Mary's School H.G JOB MAR PHILOXENOS and  two minutes silence was observed  for the departed soul.The program commenced by Saraswati  Vandana – An attempt to pay homage to our mother earth and humanity. Hon’ble Principal Mr.Saji Jacob  made a humble beginning by a warm and heartfelt welcome speech . The occasion was graced by Sh. Alok Kumar, IPS as the Chief Guest.

 The annual report was read by the Head Boy Master Aman Mehta and Head Girl Ms.Simranpreet  Kaur . They enlightened the events, efforts and the achievements of the toddlers of the school. She praised enthusiastically the interest, discipline, creativity and sense of participation and eulogized the efforts of the teacher in imparting quality education. The students  of the school presented their fountain of talents by putting up variety of shows which  enthralled the minds of spectators. The show was a great success in taking the whole audience to the different corners of India where they had a glimpse of various dance performances where a wonderful fusion of eastern and western cultures by a harmonious blend of music rhythm and dance was shown.  They held the audience engrossed with their colorful  attire and heart throbbing performances.

 The annual day proved to be a landmark in the history of school as it witnessed the release of school magazine MENORAH and the launch of newly developed web site stmarysschoolchd.com The Chief Guest for the junior wing was Mr.Chanchal Singh, D.E.O Chandigarh and Mr.Alok Kumar, IPS DIG Chandigarh Adminstration was for the Senior Wing. They both while addressing the gathering applauded the efforts and extra ordinary performance of the school students and faculty. An august gathering of Hon’ble Chairman Revd. Father BijuP.Thomas, Hon’ble members of the managing committee, Hon’ble Principal Mr.Saji Jacob was present to grace the occasion.The prizes for all round proficiency were given by the Chief Guest, Chairman and the members of the managing committee.

 At the end, Hon’ble Principal Mr.Saji Jacob while addressing the gathering appreciated the confidence and hard work put in by each student for entertaining and beautifully synchronized show.The program concluded with vote of thanks extended by the Junior & Senior Co-ordinator of the School Mrs.Salamma Mohan and Mrs.SeemaVerma  respectively followed by National Anthem.
