The Chandigarh Orthodox Church is a part of Indian Orthodox Church which has the distinction of being among the oldest Churches in the world and owes its origin to the arrival of St.Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ, in AD 52 in Kerala. The Head Quarters of the Church is at Kottayam, Kerala. His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose -II is the Supreme Head of the Church and this region is under the Diocese of Delhi our diocesan Bishop His Grace Dr. Yuhannon Mar Dimitrios our Metropolitan.
Ours is a registered charitable society and belonging to minority community, even then we are the pioneers in the field of health and education all over India.
