St. Mary’s School, Sec-46, Chandigarh, celebrated Vanmahotsav today. It was an ideal opportunity to instill personal and social responsibility in our students towards safeguarding trees and forests. During the special morning assembly, Principal, Mr. Jose P Thomas stressed on the need to conserve our environment. Students highlighted the importance of Vanmahotsav. The school choir presented a melodious song with a message to save trees. School chairman, Rev. Fr. Yakob Baby along with eco club students planted saplings in the school premises. To spread the message and sensitize the residents to plant trees, school students carried out a rally holding placards and banners through the streets of Sector 46. Students participated in various activities conducted in school. Clay modeling competition for junior classes and Collage Making Competition for higher classes  with the theme Vanmahotsav were conducted.
