St. Mary’s School, Chandigarh celebrated Van Mahotsav to instil personal and social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. A special morning assembly was held in which the students sang songs, recited poems and pledged to save the environment by planting trees. A poster making competition was also held in which the students did wonders. School Chairman Fr. Aju Abraham planted saplings and highlighted the need of planting trees and inspired the gathering to plant and take care of the cleanliness and beautification of their surroundings. Principal, Dr. Martin Das Rao motivated the students to go green by planting saplings and going paperless to help to save the world from global warming and other elements which are destroying the weather, nature and world.
