• St. Mary’s school celebrated Independence Day with great vigour to honour the sacrifices made by great men for the country and encourage patriotic feeling among the students. The students participated whole-heartedly to present colourful cultural programme. The entire school was decorated with various works of art by students. Honourable Chairman Fr. Aju Abraham accompanied by Principal,Dr. Martin Das Rao and members of the management committee unfurled the tricolour followed by the National Anthem. It was really a treat to the eyes to see the students marching while keeping pace with each other. The students presented patriotic Group Song, Patriotic dances and speeches. Chairman, Fr. Aju Abraham appreciated the consistent endeavours of our armed forces in protecting our country bravely. Principal, Dr. Martin Das Rao urged the students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation.
  • St. Mary’s School, Chandigarh celebrated Van Mahotsav to instil personal and social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. A special morning assembly was held in which the students sang songs, recited poems and pledged to save the environment by planting trees. A poster making competition was also held in which the students did wonders. School Chairman Fr. Aju Abraham planted saplings and highlighted the need of planting trees and inspired the gathering to plant and take care of the cleanliness and beautification of their surroundings. Principal, Dr. Martin Das Rao motivated the students to go green by planting saplings and going paperless to help to save the world from global warming and other elements which are destroying the weather, nature and world.
  • St. Mary’s School , sector 46 B, Chandigarh organised Inter-House Football Tournament to develop Harmony and Healthy sporting environment among the students. The occasion was graced by school chairman and the School Principal. The chairman Rev. Fr. Aju Abrraham addressed the players and inspired them to show their talent in the true spirit of sportsmanship. He also inspired them to look at sports as a field of career. Principal ,Dr Martin Das Rao motivated the students to excel in games and sports along with their studies. All the four houses played well.Bose House ( Boys Senior category) and Shastri House ( Girls Senior Category) won the tournament. The event was a grand success by the combined efforts of Students, Teachers and Supporting Staff.

The Chandigarh Orthodox Church is a part of Indian Orthodox Church which has the distinction of being among the oldest Churches in the world and owes its origin to the arrival of St.Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ, in AD 52 in Kerala. The Head Quarters of the Church is at Kottayam, Kerala. His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose -II is the Supreme Head of the Church and this region is under the Diocese of Delhi our diocesan Bishop  His Grace Dr. Yuhannon Mar Dimitrios our Metropolitan.
